Fear around birth
What I have heard from others, what I have read online, what I have lived through before, it all lives in my body now.
Pregnancy is not only a physical journey. It is emotional, hormonal, spiritual and deeply personal. It can bring excitement and joy, and sometimes fear, overwhelm or old anxieties rising quietly to the surface. Hypnotherapy and NLP offer a calm, grounded space to reconnect with your body and your inner wisdom.
“Your body knows how to grow, nurture and bring life…sometimes it just needs a calm mind to support it.”
Pregnancy brings layers of feeling all at once. Here are the ones that most often bring women into this work.
What I have heard from others, what I have read online, what I have lived through before, it all lives in my body now.
Appointments, scans, decisions, hormones. The mental load is enormous.
Part of me is carrying last time into this one. I want to feel safer in my body again.
After fertility, after change, after fear, I want to trust my body again.
The not-knowing is exhausting. I want tools, not just reassurance.
I want to feel steady, informed and in charge, whatever unfolds on the day.
Through guided relaxation, breathwork, subconscious reprogramming and gentle NLP techniques, we create new associations with pregnancy and birth, replacing tension with calm, uncertainty with clarity, and fear with a quiet inner strength. This is not about forcing the experience. It is about feeling safe within it. About learning how to soften, how to breathe, how to trust yourself and your baby.
Hypnobirthing preparation can be woven in too: releasing fear, reducing the adrenaline that can interfere with oxytocin, and supporting your body’s natural birthing physiology. Research on hypnobirthing suggests reduced need for pharmacological pain relief, lower anxiety during labour and greater maternal satisfaction. Whatever path unfolds on the day, the work we do together means you arrive at it grounded, prepared, and deeply connected to yourself. Hypnotherapy does not guarantee pregnancy and is not a substitute for medical care, but it may help create optimal emotional and physiological conditions to support conception, pregnancy and birth.
Each session is tailored to where you are in your pregnancy and what you are feeling. Whether you are preparing for birth, navigating previous birth trauma, or simply wanting to feel more connected and empowered, sessions are gentle, grounded and safe to combine alongside your medical care.
