The two minds naturally work together; the conscious mind learns things and then passes this information onto the sub conscious mind. When the subconscious mind has gained sufficient knowledge it accepts the task. Eventually your sub conscious mind will accept all these things as learned habits and will encourage you to continue to do them. The way hypnosis works is to over-write these habits – it means that by using hypnotherapy you will have a mind-set change – in other words getting rid of the bad habits and replacing them with good habits. When clients come to see me for weight reduction I ask them to visualize in their minds eye how they are going to be when they reach their ideal weight and shape.  This creates an image that your subconscious mind will start to work on. Your subconscious cannot distinguish whether the image is real or something that is yet to happen. Sometimes creating that visual image is difficult, particularly if people have always been struggling with their weight. Hypnosis can help you think about real long-term freedom from excess weight, and from all the problems that are associated with it such as:-
